How much your little footprints have changed in a year! You're suddenly so grown up. feeding yourself, getting in AND out of the tub by yourself (well... certainly trying too!), dancing, talking, making friends and music and knowing family. And your personality is so unique...just like your mommy and daddy. It's been so much fun watching you grow this last year....it makes me realize how much fun the years to come will be and how unconditional my love for you is and will always be. I love you more than life itself...grammyxo

Keepin' up with the.. blog.
D, N, and W are the consonant sounds of the week. M and Y may replace them by the weekend.
Avery has six teeth in her mouth.
She calls the dog (Luke) "Goo" or "Gook"
Her meals lately have been outstanding. Haven't used the magic bullet in over a month. Scratch that- Casey made strawberry milkshakes- but Avery's been eating chunks and pieces rather than purees and mushes. Rather than a bowl of greenish orangish brownish paste (which is actually usually delicious), she has moved on to pieces of asparagus, whole wheat penne, pineapple chunks, diced carrots, whole beans, and bite sized pieces of bread.
This Sunday she will be one year old and we are having a party. A birthday party. It's your birthday party, happy birthday darling. We love you very, very, very, very, very, very, very much.

c'mon horsey!
I spent the first weekend of May with my little angel and she has learned so much! I especially love the southern twang that she has chosen to use in her little "Uh-O"!! The "O" portion of this is actually two, sometimes three syllables. One afternoon she pulled out her little wooden rocking horse and drug it all over the kitchen and living room. She pulls it a little ways and then walks ahead of it opening and closing her little fist as if to say "c'mon horsey!" My favorite time though, is that hour or so in the morning that we let mommy and daddy sleep. She wakes up between 5:30 and 6:00 and I'm allowed to bring her in bed with me and give her a bottle. This immediatley puts her back to sleep for an hour, hour and half sometimes, but then when she wakes up she's ready to play and so happy and funny. She is so easy to please. The simplest things make her laugh and smile. She'll roll around in bed and play and laugh till I have to get up. Mornings without her just aren't the same.
